Peaches Christ Superstar Ban
Jesus Christ Superstar Performance Shut Down
This March, electro-shock provocateur Peaches was due to perform a one-woman version of Andrew Lloyd Weber's Jesus Christ Superstar at Berlin's Hebbel Theatre, with piano accompaniment by Chilly Gonzales. But apparently the German people in control of the rights to the musical didn't want to risk a weird Peaches-as-Jesus scandal, so they preemptively shut it down, according to Peaches' Twitter. (Via The Guardian.)
In a statement, Peaches wrote: "It's a shame that the authorities feel threatened by this new fresh approach. I know a lot of people who really love the music and would appreciate this stripped down down solo performance. I have so much respect for the music and lyrics from the original score and this was my way of honouring that." She also added: "PEACHES CHRIST SUPERSTAR CRUCIFIED BEFORE OPENING NIGHT!"
Looks like the sanctity of the Lord is safe...for now.

Donate and help our Neighbors
If you attended the Drasco Pen-Ultimate Dance party and had a BLAST, please consider donating a few bucks towards their noise violation ticket they are having to pay.
The party was free, they provided tons of alcohol, and the music was awesome. You can donate whatever your are comfortable with. They will appreciate any help!
Click the button below to donate with paypal or credit card. It goes to my paypal account marked as "Drasco Donation," and I will be giving them the money in a lump sum (or you can give cash to them directly, or to me and i will pass it on).
where's your head at?!

radiostations
at poking you, we listen to these slacker.com radio stations, which are a perfect mix for hours of tattoo work. we've each made some stations, so there is a good variety. the site has a pretty vast collection of artists, with appropriate recommendations for similar bands (for the most part).
check out the 2 stations i made, IZZY and TACO!. they're on the right side of the blog page, with direct links which open the music right away. it's super easy.
